Generic Police State

For the last couple of years, the Georgia school board - last out of 50 states in education - has placed armed
police officers inside the elementary and junior high school here in Peachtree City. I asked the principle of the
elementary school why there was someone with a loaded gun in my daughter's school. Surely there had been
a threat of some sort. No, they just decided to put cops in the schools, for the kids safety of course. My daughter
tells me that the cop tells the kids where to go and what to do if they encounter her in the halls. WTF does this
loser have to do with my daughter's education?

They also placed retirees dressed in Police tunics outside the schools to direct traffic which never needed
direction before and still doesn't. I asked about those people and was told that the police dept. had extra people so they
would direct traffic and act as crossing guards. This was, of course, a bold faced lie since, as I mentioned,
they are not cops at all but rather retirees who have been given some sort of mercy job.

What really got my goat was this morning when a driver stopped to ask one of these decrepit old bags a question
and the driver dared to disagree and shake her head no. The old geezer's other old geezer colleague asked in
a judgemental voice and with a stern look on her face: what was she shaking her head no about? You know, like
these old farts now rule the road and can tell the rest of us what to do.

If any one of those old pieces of shit ever tried to tell me or my kids what to do I'd tell them to fuck off and die.
And if one of them ever tried to arrest me - omg - I'd simply tell them: I don't think I'm going to let you arrest me
today. Then I'd break their hip.

Hiring these old people is obviously just another socialist/communist style job works program by the gov that
does nothing but waste money and other valuable resources and impose on others who are trying to get to work
to be productive.

Armed guards in schools, holy smokes. I can understand for inner city violent schools. I just asked my five year old if there are guards at her school. Got the usual "I don't know."

Had another run-in with these people this morning. We have 90 miles of golf cart paths in our town so many people get around and take their kids to school in golf carts.

Since there's a "crossing guard", people look to the crossing guard for instruction as to whether they can cross the street or not, rather than looking themselves like they were taught in kindergarten. And if the crossing guard fucks up, it could mean someone's life. That almost happened this morning.

The crossing guard was holding up traffic for a pedestrian to cross the street and then decided to let the traffic go but a golf cart was also trying to cross the street and - being an old retiree of some sort - the crossing guard's actions or intent was not conveyed clearly so the golf cart kept going as did traffic at the same time. Then the elderly one tried to grab the moving golf cart and physically stop it. Luckily I wasn't paying attention to the blue hair and saw the cart and stopped in time.

The crossing guards are there for our safety no doubt but I have a feeling they'll be the death of somebody sooner or later. I can't think of a dumber idea at place that has absolutely no need for such a dumb idea.

Typical gov't thinking. They'll create the problem then coming riding in to resolve it which always means more gov't.

I slowed down and told the crossing guard to get out of road, she was going to get someone killed. She laughed. *sigh*

I ride my bike to work and today I was on my way home when school was letting out and this same lady was standing in the street, so I pulled over to talk to her.

I told her I saw her mishap with the golf cart that morning and explained to her why she created the confusion. She said it happened because the golf cart didn't do what she told him to do. I told her, it wasn't clear what you were telling him to do and that eventually somebody's going to get seriously hurt because of her.

I asked if she works for the Police Dept. and she said yes. She is a paid 'crossing guard'. I asked why she felt the need to tell people what to do when crossing the street on such a lightly traveled, insignificant road. People manage to cross the same street all day long just fine without her. I told her that she simply was not needed and in these hard economic times honest hard-working people are being forced to pay for her to stand there and do nothing of any value. She told me to complain to the PD.

As if she had nothing to do with it. The mishap was not her fault. The fact that she has chosen to do a job that is not needed is not her doing. I wonder if she is responsible for bathing every morning.

Then I asked her why she would take other people's money to do something meaningless. Wasn't there something else she could be doing? She replied: no! I then asked: why is it my responsibility to pay for you to do something that is not needed simply because you are not qualified to do anything else. Silence...

She then asked for my name. LOL. I told her she should be ashamed of herself at her age - 50-ish - and that she should do the right thing and quit and get an honest job.

No doubt she saw me as some sort of heartless nut-job who doesn't understand anything.

Panhandling is a much more honest way of generating income then working for the gov't. People can choose to give you money or not.
