    F1 track construction on hold

Seems there's a contract dispute between Full Throttle Productions and Bernie.

    Sigh.
    Construction was on schedule, too.

the austin track is another sport complex using money stolen from the people of Texas (and visitors to texas) for the benefit of insiders. NJ's road course supposedly does not use tax money but I highly down it. Even if it's something that is 'paid back' it's use of the assets and time value of money that comes from NJ taxpayers.

It's just more like the early days of tax monies building stadiums for private businesses. It will get worse if allowed to continue.

    It already got worse.
According to NYT a while back, the current Meadowlands Spors Complex is built on the site of the old Meadowlands Sports Complex, which was torn down and removed, but >is still not paid for<.

I gather Bernie says 'Not my problem. It just looks like the Contract Holder and the Developer have not been talking to each other. They need to get together and sort things out'

With a heavily vested interest I would have thought he would be in there banging some heads together. He may be little guy in stature but he is a big, and hard, guy when it comes to business matters.

I would have said "borderline con-man", myself.

I knew something like this would come up, where Bernie gets someone else to spend a large amount of money (public, in this case) and then manages to get his own way.

In the business world that is construed as being 'Successful'.
