I prefer driving a manual transmission.
Is it so difficult to make a six speed manual that gets MPG at least as good as the automatic?
Could the 5 speed manual have been adjusted to have a taller top gear for better highway cruising?
From your review, it seems that the manual gearing was adjusted to provide strong acceleration at the sacrifice of some mpg. For a small car 26/36 mpg is not bad, but I do not like the manual being less fuel efficient than the automatic.
