Hi.
I'm 35 (this month) and think in my short time dealing with companies I have a lot more experience that most. I've lost my license three times, had SR-22s, the whole deal. I cleaned up my act about 10 years ago.
Anyhow, what I have discovered with insurance is that they'll take you for a ride any chance they have. Each year I'll call around to get quotes that are lower than my current rate and if my present company won't match I drop them.
NEVER NEVER NEVER tell them you have mods etc.. on your vehicles. I did that one time about 15 years ago and they still haven't forgotten!
As far as data-mining your information I'm not sure there is much you can do about it other than not give him your SSN. Without your SSN though they can't pull up your record and give you an accurate quote.
