New registrations.

To those people who may have tried to register and have been advised that new registrations are not being accepted - my apologies. Sadly the few genuine applicants are having to suffer for the actions of fools and trolls.

I just got tired of spending a couple of hours, or more, each day checking out and ultimately deleting/banning the hundreds of new users trying to post spam and links to pornography that were appearing each day. Later I may reactivate 'New Registrations' and see how it goes for a while. If it is as bad as before then registration will be switched off again and I shall leave it up to Eric to decide what to do in the long term.

Over the last week I tried re-activating the registratation facility.

Sadly, once again all we got was hundreds of computer generated
accounts and spam accounts, mainly from China, Vietnam and India.

The registration facility is, once again, not available.
