I work in a shipping department and deal with drivers all day. Most are competent and regular people. We get quite a few though who seem to think everything is somebody else's fault. I gave one driver who spoke Spanish a Spanish translation of the loading procedure and he couldn't even read Spanish. A bunch of them make me wonder how they got a license. When I drove, you had to know how to driver around corners and you had to especially know the dimensions of your rig.

In North Carolina, there is a bridge called the "Truck Eater". Numerous signs on the approach warn truckers but it still tops the trucks on a regular basis. Do we really need to make drivers more stoopid than they already are?
