Eric, you hit the nail on the head on this one. Before I bought my CX-5, I had never considered a Mazda. There have been times I wished for a little more room and I've looked at the CX-9. The electronics are intimidating but once you get used to them, you don't even need to take your eyes off the road. As for the 9 having one less seat, how many people fill EVERY seat in one of these cars? The electrical system is a bit weak in my 2016 but Consumer Reports said it was addressed for 2017. I have the non-turbo 2.5 and that car is a little pocket rocket. It also handled a recent 8 inch snow on top of 1/4 inch of ice with no trouble.
