I see the threads on my end; they seem to be working... let me ask Martie (our web guru) and see what she says...
I don't. Also, if ths was a reply to me, at the top it said:Originally Posted by Eric
Hey, JohnB, you have 0 messages, 0 are new.
Show unread posts since last visit.
Show new replies to your posts.
...BEFORE I clicked on "show unread posts since last visit" and then it flagged this one. But not threaded.
....roger all that; am working on it.... belt sander out; larg hammers at the ready!
In addition to JB's remark about threading (which I also don't see), when I click on the "show new posts since your last visit" I don't go to the new post but to the start. That's a real defect in my opinion.
In the list of threads which have new posts you will see a small box with 'new' in it after the title of each thread. If you click on that it will take you to the first unread post. It takes a while with long threads, as it has to load the whole thread, but that has the advantage that you can scroll up the thread, unlike C/S's crapware, where you have to load the previous page to see previous posts.Originally Posted by D_E_Davis

Yes - chat is definitely on the menu. Iplan to set aside regular blocks of time for that, in fact - so people can rant at me directly if they like!

Don't want to rant...........too much mate!

A well-parsed rant can be a thing to behold!
I am beginning to get used to this site.
There is one thing however, that I feel could be improved.
Each message has a dividing line across it and I think it makes it a little hazy to quickly see who composed the message.
Yep, I had the same issue... I'm pointing all these things out to our "tech dept.," fyi - and hopefully we'll be able to fix the majority - or at least make things better!
I wish this thing was threaded. At the moment the onely reply button is clear at the bottom, so I can't reply to a particular post, and it's a tad difficult for me to find which post a praticularr reply is aimed at.

Hi Dennis,
Martie and I are trying to address this issue; growth pangs, etc. Please bear with....!
Try using the 'quote' button within the post. That will not only quote the post you are replying to (editable if you wish to reply to one specific point or to avoid repeating all of a long post), it will also link your reply to the post you are replying to.Originally Posted by D_E_Davis

Could we have next/previous buttons for the pages within a topic?
There already are some for next/previous topic, but not for pages within a topic.

I will ask the "web fuhrer" if this id a doable thing!
