Where to buy a crash-test dummy?

Got any idea where I could buy a used crash-test dummy? I've tried Google/Froogle and eBay with no luck (searching for Hybrid III, etc)

This is for work -- we write software that interfaces with hospital beds (which are more sophisticated than most people realize), and we need a better way to test with a fake "patient". Right now we're using a box full of bricks, and because the shape isn't right, it doesn't always trigger the bed's sensors.

I can put in a query to GM... I know some guys at their testing facility... but I would bet GM has some policy against selling them as they contain proprietary technology, etc. Or something like that. IIHS would be another place to try - but those guys hate my guts!

GM testing would be a good idea -- we don't care about the instrumentation in the dummy -- we just want a human shape that weighs at least 75 pounds. So if they have one that is worn out (for their purposes), that would be cool.

Another idea I had was for a fireman's dummy that they use in their training. I plan on stopping by the local station at lunchtime and see if they have a "fireman's supply" catalog or something they order from.

You could try buying a porn shop dummy and filling it with water. LOL

But I did consider getting a department store mannequin and putting lead shot inside it. It would have to be cheaper than the "Rescue Randy" dummy the fire department uses, which starts at $600.

Shoot, come to my Walmart, they've got tons of them!

They are remarkably lifelike. They walk! They talk, sort of! They even push shopping carts around, just like real shoppers! These advanced models are even sometimes able to navigate the intricacies of the checkout! (But you can tell the difference between the Dummies and real people because the Dummies never, ever look at the magazine covers, many of which are dusty and have pub dates of March, 1982 because come to think of it the real people never look at them, either.)

Why, just last week I was in the checkout line directly behind a Crash Test Dummy got up to look like a very old lady. Really, it was amazing, how real she looked! A thousand wrinkles! I was fooled! She remained immobile, in down-Dummy mode, while the checkout clerk rang up the items and provided her with the total. Then and only then did the Dummy take her purse from the cart child seat, set it on the shelf, snap it open, take out her wallet and give the clerk a bunch of folding money. Then she went back to the purse and withdraw one of those squeegee plastic coin purses. Then she squeezed it open and took out a quarter and laid it on the shelf. Then she took out another quarter and laid it on the shelf. Then she took out a dime and laid it on the shelf. Then she took out one penny, then a second penny, then a third penny, and laid each one on the shelf. By now my molars were hurting. Then she went back into down-Dummy mode while the cash register brrrp'd out the receipt, which the clerk gave to her. Then and only then did she return the coin thing to her purse, return her wallet to her purse, snap her purse shut, and restore it to the cart.

Me, fantasizing tomorrow's newspaper headline: "Crazed Walmart Shopper Strangles Old Lady; Police Puzzled as Suspect Is Led Away Mumbling 'Clover Eugenics' . . ."

Sounds like every time I get behind the wheel. You see, I have an easier time dealing in person with the Clovers. It's when they have a cage around them I have the problem.

I've been developing a pretty serious condition lately and it's getting worse. When people are doing stupid shit around me, or impeding my movement I say what I'm thinking. Usually I don't respond to them if they engage me, I just keep going.
