    New MINI revealed

BMW has released the new MINI in the UK.

    See:

    http://www.newmini2006.co.uk/

    for more details.

The problem with building cartoon cars is that all you can do, styling-wise, with a new model, is 'more of the same'. However, they have really gone to town on the interior. That dash has to be one of the worst ever 'designed'.......'tacky' redefined!

    Thanks for posting this, Dave!

I personally love the Mini; one of the best designs to come out in years - in terms of "fun to drive" personality and price. I'd much rather have a Mini than a Maita - as great a roadster/sports car as the Mazda admittedly is.

    Pretty much evolutionary changes.

It's interesting that the Cooper S has gone from a supercharged (made in Brazil) engine to a turbocharged (made in the UK) one.

Don't care for the wheels shown, however.

I'm looking forward to finding out why they decided to go with the turbo rather than the supercharger; I'll miss the blower whine!
