The radio today said that eight US soldiers were killed in Iraq in the last 24 hrs. But added that thirteen 'insurgents' were killed. Also, eighty-four bodes were found in various parts of the country, some bearing signs of torture.
In 1916 in WW1 British forces were 'inflicting heavy losses' on German positions on the Somme. In 1917 mothers on both sides were still tarring-and-feathering' cowards on both sides. After all, the enemy were evil....
I look forward to news reports of the truth. Perhaps when US servicemen return and are de-mobbed?

It's a mindless slaughterhouse now, just as it was then - death and destruction for a purpose no one can coherently explain. So sad. And appalling that we can't seem to put a stop to it....
