2007 Ferrari 599 GTB

Unveiled in November of 2006, the 612 horsepower 599 GTB is Ferrari's highest-performance V-12 production car to date. It is capable of reaching 60 mph in 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of more than 200 mph. The 6 liter V-12 is derived from the 65 degree, 650 horsepower V-12 used in the million-dollar Ferrari Enzo -- civilized just enough to make it viable as an everyday driver. Just 250 or so of these will be built annually. The 599 features carbon-ceramic brakes, a body that produces 400 lbs. of downforce at 186 mph, an "F1-Trac" stability/traction control system with multi-mode settings to control wheelspin (including a "race" mode for skilled drivers able to exploit the car's incredible capabilities), electro-magnetic active suspension (similar to the Corvette's, but more exotic, with Ferrari's propriety programming) and available F1-SuperFast paddle shifted six-speed manual transmission (a standard six-speed gearbox is available as well). The two-seat exotic sports car is not entirely impractical, however. In addition to its race-car mechanicals, the 599 also features an 11.3 cubic-foot trunk and comes standard with both air conditioning and a high-end audio system.

2007 Ferrari F430

The F430 replaced the F360 in late 2005 and the current model is slated for an update in 2008. Changes for 2007 to Ferrari's two-seat exotic sports car are minimal. As before, the F430 is available in both coupe and Spyder bodystyles. All versions are powered by a 4.3 liter V-8 developing 383 horsepower. Standard versions come equipped with a six-speed manual transmission while F1 variants use a race-style "clutchless" manual transmission which uses computer controls to engage and disengage the clutch; the driver has full manual control of upshifts and downshifts, which are actuated by paddle shifters on the steering wheel. There is also an electronically controlled "E-diff" rear differential, which manages torque output under full throttle for enhanced control. Challenge models are track-oriented and come with carbon-ceramic brakes, Challenge Stradale lightweight rims and carbon fiber interior trim. All models get dual-zone climate control, ABS, traction and stability control.

2007 Ferrari 612 Scaglietti

The Scaglietti is a large, four-seat GT coupe that comes in standard and F1 forms. It replaces the 456M in Ferrari's lineup and is intended to offer both exotic car performance as well as a very high level of luxury. It comes standard with a 5.7 liter V-12 engine that develops 540 horsepower. The standard cars comes with a conventional six-speed manual transmission but buyers can choose the F1 version, which is equipped with a race-style "clutchless" manual transmission which uses computer controls to engage and disengage the clutch. The 612 comes heavily equipped with standard amentiies, including a power trunk closer and premium Bose audio system. An auto-damping suspension system, ultra performance wheels and tires (18-inches up front, larger 19 inch wheels in back), high-capacity disc brakes with ABS, traction control and stability control are also included. The 612 can be ordered with a DVD navigation ystem, Park Assist, run-flat ires and fitted luggage.
