You learn something every day! I'd always heard that line as ' Sits a brand new shiny red Super Stock car.' Found the Jan & Dean CD (I haven't got the Beach Boys version) & sure enough, it's 'Dodge'; I can't believe my hearing's been that bad for forty years!

In further mitigation, Dodge is not a name I readily associated with cars when I first heard the song. Dodge only existed as trucks in the UK.
