When the debate on usage of "words" started everyone started using the F-word -- hee hee hee. However, words are powerful. The pen is mightier than the sword (Don will supply the portrayer of this quote). Men are shot dead in a parking lot, over "words," marriages are destroyed over "words," Children lives are ruin over "words." To say that "words" are not important simply does not grasp the severity of the given situation. It is against the law to shout "FIRE!" in a theater.
At one time society collectively decided some "words" could not be used about women and children. This is no longer true. I have heard toddlers say the F-word, or taken the Lord's name in vain. :-[ I will never adjust to crudeness, and will not permit such useage in my presence.
I am amazed that men would want to cheapen women in this manner, and the women that use profanity don't respect themselves.
I don't put "using the lord's name in vain" in the same category as profanity; the former's merely a religious issue of importance only to those who "believe." Divine injunctions/scripture, etc. mean nothing to me;so I don't care one way or the other how "the lord''s" name is used.
