    Perfectly reasonable.

And at least it ain't a German car.

The North Shore is one part of Auckland I could feel at home...

Won't drive German cars. They were trying to kill us in the war, you know.

The Bentley doesn't have much in the way of traction control and electronic stuff, either.

Oh dear have owned a MB and now ride a BMW.

When I had the MB my uncle asked me "what would your Father have said if he saw you driving a 3 pointed star.......
Not wanting to go there I said "Dad liked quality cars" and left it at that.

Yes. Same applies to Japanese cars... but sometimes you can let those 'self image' things matter!

Like BMW motorbikes are ALWAYS ridden by people without humour.

And BMW 3-series by very good-looking females aged 24 yrs.... who want to marry money and do OE...

Did you ever meet a Dane with a sense of humour?

German cars take themselves far too seriously, and have sterile tasteless interiors, too. Subaru cannot do detail design, neither. And the last Toyota with any flair was the MR2.

In the forties, long before any interstates, in Victorville on the edge of the Mojave Desert a fellow had taken a Rolls-Royce towncar and converted it into a tow truck. Very nicely done, with no unfinished edges showing, it captivated me every time we passed by.
