    Complete, Utter BS, Mercedes-style

Mercedes C-class now has 'agility control suspension' (ACS).

[from international press release 1/07... ]

"... The new agility control suspension system is designed to provide a good ride and agile handling, while affording a cornering attitude 10% flatter than the previous model's. The system uses selective damping to control shock absorber reaction according to driver situations, employing hydromechanics rather than electronics to provide soft damping when low suspension forces are at work and firmer damping action when cornering or taking evasive action..."

Hallelujah. Mercedes have discovered the multiple-orifice hydraulic damper!
I wonder what how they will describe the laminated leaf spring?

That'll be the AATC system, mandatory for modern car-speak [another acronym to confuse] also sometimes called re-inventing the wheel...

dunno why it annoys me. Probably because British Scientists have already invented everything worthwhile.

I'm with you on this; they're bloated and garish - very much like the people who tend who own them!

Maybe in theory but the Brit engineers have never been able to handle electricity as it applies to motor vehicles.

Theory is more fun. Practical application can ruin your nails.

We in management don't discuss such things with those on the line.
