Your review of the Sky is reminding me strongly of the Mercury Capri XR2 I used to own.Fine for a night ont he town -- but it gets old after awhile. Looks draw you in -- but it;s
It was faster than a Miata (cheaper, too), turbocharged, and tons of fun to drive. But suffered from some of the same complaints -- the top was weak -- you had to stop & get out to raise or lower it (because the lever to open the hard teanneau needed the ignition key to unlock it). In 4 years of ownership I went through 3 tops, because they kept tearing (this was vinyl, not cloth). In it's last year with me, it would drip water on my left knee. The paint on the hood turned orange because of the heat from the turbo (no heatshield).
The Capri is no more, but the Miata is still around because Mazda knew to fix what annoyed it's 1st generation customers. Let's hope the General is listening.
