Speed-limit bill drives through to the House

    http://deseretnews.com/dn/view/0,1249,660193806,00.html

This is my kind of bill <<A person cannot receive a "careless driving" ticket unless they commit another offense first.
    >> As long as you're not hurting anyone your actions should not be monitored.

<< "We're trying to increase or improve the flow of traffic," Jenkins said about the measure, pointing to statistics that he gathered that show in some cases, higher speed limits improve traffic flow and result in few accidents.>> Jenkins must have read, 'The Effects of Raising and Lowering Speed Limits.' Good for him!

The speed limit part of the bill, however, stalled. Had it passed, Utah would have been the second state to have an 80 mph speed limit.
