I've got a car that could probably do a nice burnout ... if someone else was buying the tires.
Depends on what you mean by "burnout." If you mean sitting and burning the tires off using a line lock, then no, I'm not into that. If you mean standing on it and getting up to speed with a show of tire smoke, then I guess that's OK. If you mean going around in circles in a public intersection, I'd say that will get you about what you deserve, sooner or later.
Ain't that the truth. When I had my 96 GT Mustang, replacement tires were 99 bucks a pop discounted. I guess if you wanted to have fun, you could get an extra two wheels with some junkyard tires to lay rubber. Changing them is a small pain in the butt, however.
I would also like to add that a true burnout is only done in a rear wheel drive car.

I mean a nice tire-frying, wheel-skittering hard launch,counter- steering to correct for the tail hanging out as you go! No "Dynamic Stability Control" scheisse to ruin the fun!
It seems wasteful of tyres especially. There are some competitions here soon in South Australia...part of a series.
