These guys want the U.S. (and the world) to reduce carbon emissions 80% in the next 43 years.

So...what would that mean? Well, cars produce about 25% of the CO2 in the U.S. Eliminate all the cars in the country, and you've only made it 1/3 of the way to their goal.

We have some authentic hippies here in Floyd... not the ersatz sort one sees on CNN. These folks live very quietly, away from the main roads on "off the grid" farms and so on. Many moved here in the '70s and are the genuine article...
