I just got my daughter a 1999 Lexus wagon with 110,000 on the odometer. Since this is in the "luxury" class (or is it ?), any simple repairs would be higher in cost compared to cars in the "lower" class. Are there any Lexus owners out there?

I personally would not recommend any nearly 10-year-old luxury vehicle if the buyer is concerned about repair/maintenance expenses.
A major brake job on your Lexus, for example, can cost twice what it would cost to redo the brakes on a more "basic" car.
Depending on the model, it may be possible to buy parts at a Toyota dealer.

What wagon did Lexus make, apart from the IS300 sport wagon?
When you said "wagon" I assumed you were talking about the RX300.... which Lexus do you have?
