The woman refused help when whe had what might be best described as an heart attack.

    Oxygen may have helped.

She refused help. Cornoner's report pending.

They didn't pay a tiny bill. The society in which they live has low skills. Poker machnes, complex things.

It is nearly impossible to *not* find US$120 for a monthly power bill. She died from complex reasons and the truth of it is that naieve and stupid people have got on the band-wagon. I could die tomorrow and because I was proud and refuse help should I be in her situation...?

Why if her life was dependendant on oxygen and nothing else should her family not ensure that oxygen was supplied? It isn't rocket science to pay for three fast-food meals.

We support people with low life-skills.

There has to be a lot more to that story than the news has reported -

    Would you have thought otherwise?

There are very clunky things going on here.
    Low news day.
    Combined with the complex stuff

No. The fun in reading an unfamiliar newspaper is in trying to divine the rag's agenda.

We don't do agendas. Apart from pathetic people becoming editors. I'm going to cook a meal and forget your justification for tech-war supremacy.

I believe that you're letting your accent show.

If you were to hire an Aussie for lessons you could fix that accent.

That's the 'Evening Star' engine in that pic a few messages back.

Running sweetly through Dorset with the stains of a narrow bore tunnel and now with brakes holding ten carriages behind, feathering the throttle on 30% brakes releasing and two trains behind... they were fast down the hill, the curves allowed the to bunch up little in the valley at Radstock, easy work.

The pic was 1961 summer. There were five trains with a lot of single-line. Most were double-headed.

They all go to Spain now...
