Beer also has female Hormones in it.
Yesterday, scientists for Health Canada suggested that men should take a look at their beer consumption, considering the results of a study showing the presence of female hormones in beer.
The theory is that drinking beer makes men turn into women. To test the findings, 100 men were fed six pints of beer each. It was then observed that 100% of the men gained weight, talked excessively without making sense, became overly emotional, couldn't drive, failed to think rationally, argued over nothing, and refused to apologize when wrong.

    No further testing is planned.

    Ah, the wonders of editing!

However, none of those answers is really all that surprising. It's no secret that our schools have been dropping those difficult and boring history and geography classes in favor of the study of business, climate change, ecology, and make-up application. You should have heard the howls of anger over "useless knowledge" when I required my World History students to pass a map test.

That's a frightening test. If I were asked to sketch out the various European countries and national boundaries over the past couple of hundred years, it would take me weeks to find the information in the best of libraries.

I still can't 'fill in the blanks' on a map of Africa and I've made a couple of serious efforts at it. Of course, that is the fault of the African nations which changed names and territories when they threw off colonialism.

Don't think I've lost anything there.

But ... I would like very much to visit Egypt and Libya (been to Tunisia) to look at some of the historic stuff. If those madmen ever calm down, I'll go. Most likely it will bee in my next life.

When/if you go, Compuserve has a local dial-up number in Cairo.

"in the Beginning" that was the ironclad strength of Compuserve - access nearly everywhere and an ASCII format, a one size fit all winner.

Today there are "internet cafes" nearly everywhere which make carrying a laptop almost redundant.

There are some parts of this world that I'd much prefer to see in pictures. Ones that I didn't take! Most of Africa is one place that falls into that category.

Oddly enough, seemed uncommon in Ireland - a very wired country. But no problem, as ASCII E-mail works OK on dialup.

Turkey seems to have one evey block, in Izmit.
