2008 Challenger Fans - Great Blog Site

With the 2008 Challenger due to be released in just a few short months here's a blog with great info related to its release and other information. I will be checking it on regular basis, it even has spy photos of the production car:

I'm curious about the car; but I don't Feel for it the way I do any of the old classics. Gimme a '70 'Cuda 440 Six Pack - and I'm seriously happy!

But the 70's cars are now out of any normal person's price range.

Not really; unless you have to have a very rare one.

One can buy, as an example, a restored SD-455 Trans-Am for about $50k; or about the cost of a loaded GMC Yukon Denali. A non-SD 455 (or 400) Trans-Am will cost you about half that - or less than the cost of a new Mustang GT.

A 383 E Body Mopar will cost in the same range, etc.

Only the Hemi and 440 Six Pack cars (and those in that category) have become so expensive that they are beyond the grasp of most middle income people...

    No price on this one:
    1970 Dodge Challenger R/T Hemi

Take a look at the underbody photos -- it's cleaner than when it came off the assembly line.

    chiph,

I agree the 2008 Challenger is a great pick for someone who can't afford the original. For instance a loaded 2008 Challenger SRT8 will have 425 horsepower on tap from its 6.1 liter V8 giving it better performance than the original '70 Challenger Hemi, all for around $40,000. Now that's a bargain. I am so glad Chrysler is making this car.
