    Top tailgating cars?

If you're going to be tailgating to a game this fall, what's your choice of vehicle?

Not being a sportsfan, I have no clue!

Mass events alarm me. Pro (and college) football annoys me!

I was going to suggest the Honda Ridgeline.

Room for three of your best buddies, and a trunk in the bed that can hold a bunch of beer on ice.

The Chevy Avalanche has a similar storage feature for "beverages"!

I don't go to sports events, however, I think that a Dodge Magnum wagon makes an excellent original style tailgate vehicle. If I owned a house, I'd buy one of those instead of a pickup or an SUV for my trips to the hardware store or lumber yard. Notice I did not mention Home Disco or Slowes.

I'd suggest a VW Passat - that seems to be the car of choice for tailgaters. ;D

My vote is for a 2007 or 2008 Cadillac Escalade EXT, which when you open the rear hatch it has a flip down 50" flat panel LCD or plasma TV. Of course the Escalade would have to have Direct TV. ;D

The foreigners appear to be unfamiliar with the American pastime of Tailgating.

Hint: the vehicles are not moving.

I had forgotten the cultural differences.

"Tailgating" has another meaning beyond someone following you too closely at 70mph. It's also an event held in the parking lot prior to a sporting event where people cook up food and drink tasty beverages to excess.

Sometimes they go a little overboard...

You and me both! Tom too. But Tom & I are fruits, we are not supposed to be interested in sports!

    But what's your excuse? ;D

I'd rather eat at a decent restaurant.

By the way, if people went entirely by lifestyle, interests, etc., I suspect I would turn on most people's "gaydar." Don't like most sports. Would rather watch paint dry than watch most sports on TV. Prefer restaurants to tailgating. Prefer reading to watching TV. Etc.

    Hey, me too!

I despise football/sports veneration; read a great deal more than I watch TV - and absolutely love a good meal in a nice restaurant... .

Should we break out our Village People records?

And my Trans-Am is pumpkin orange!

(Though I draw the line at watching anything that smacks of "reality" TV... and I absolutely hate shopping - unless it's for tools or car/bike parts or it's a flea market!)
