ORANGE COUNTY (September 2007) ? Sportsmobile West, North America?s premiere tier-two manufacturer of Ford Econoline, Dodge Sprinter and GMC Savana vans, announced today they have selected the 2008 Orange County Auto Show to debut their newest ?Ultimate Adventure Vehicle?- The Sportsmobile ?Orange Crush.? This van has taken design cues from muscle and retro concept cars that have been making automotive news in the past year. This awesome muscle van is sure to stop show-goers in their tracks.
?We selected the Orange County Auto Show because it?s one of Sportsmobile?s biggest markets, and this will mark our fourth straight year in attendance,? said Alan Feld, Sportsmobile president. ?We designed this van for the adventure enthusiast and are sure consumers will be really excited when they see this van.?
From the ground up this van is all about adventure, with its hard line off-road Toyo Open Country M/T tires, this van is ready to tackle just about any terrain that you can throw at it. Grip will not be an issue for these claws. The Sportsmobile is powered through rugged terrain by the 6.0l diesel power-stroke motor, Dynatrac?s Pro Rock 60 axle, and a 12-speed gear driven transfer case by Advanced Adaptors. Just in case this van gets into some tight situations, its heavily protected all-aluminum custom black powder-coated bumpers by Aluminess Products, combined with a massive Warn 12,000lb winch, allows this van to pull through just about any terrain. The van also comes equipped with Hella off-road lights, nerf board-style fender flares, side steps, roof-rack and a black powder-coated billet grille, which rounds out the styling and functionality for the exterior. The throw-back ?Orange Crush? paint scheme will be combined with matte-black striping to give this monster van a clean, yet aggressive look. Sportsmobile will take you where you want to go and back, that is, if you want to come back.

Sportsmobile kept the rugged and adventurous theme consistent with the interior by laying down black diamond-plate flooring for a sturdy base. The layout for the interior is Sportsmobile?s most popular set up, the RB-50 floor plan, which gives the customer a very useful and enjoyable area to relax and live in while sleeping 4 adults comfortably. The debut will not stop short on the interior, the cabinets will be done in a rare charcoal color to go along with the black and charcoal upholstery. To accent the amazing color and sparkle of the orange crush paint, orange piping and accents will be placed in the interior to highlight for show-goers Sportsmobile?s attention to detail. While the interior will be comfortable, it will be more aggressive and rugged than most other Sportsmobile designs. Interior options are nearly endless and cater toward each customer?s different needs. Such options include, but are not limited to, a refrigerator, a diesel powered furnace, an outside shower with hot water, a porta-potti, a sink, a microwave and an inverter for that will allow for standard plugs to operate.
For sleeping and storage, Sportsmobile offers an electric Penthouse with an expandable roof that contains a bed capable of sleeping two adults. On the first floor, a sofa seat folds out into a bed and is capable of sleeping two more adults comfortably.
For entertainment, Sportsmobile keeps the good times rollin? by offering a host of options for audio/video systems. The ?Orange Crush? comes complete with a full blown theater-on-wheels which includes flat-screen monitors, an in-dash DVD player and GPS system. iPod hook-ups, upgraded speakers and a subwoofer round out the home theater experience of this van.
