    Laugh or frown

Subject: a hoot, a website where cops can complain about other cops giving
them speeding tickets and not giving special treatment to their Brothers

Very interesting! They want to harass us, but they don't want us to harass them. Hmmmm -- remember what Red Skelton used to say as the kid? If I do'd it, I'll get a spanking." and then he'd think about it and announce, "I do'd it!"

This illustrates the mindset some cops have - arrogant and entitled. It's quite eye-opening. Good post!

Yes, the arrogant takes your breath away, just not in a good way, more like a kick in the gut. Umph! >

My personal feeling is that while there are good cops who are decent people not out to harass us, the reality of the profession today - and of the laws cops are expected to enforce - is such that it attracts a certain type of individual; e.g., the type that likes to lord it over others or who is indifferent to the hassles he imposes because he's just "enforcing the law."

In plain English - a Dickhead. And one with a badge and a gun, too.

I think a person who is basically decent would have a tough time spending much of his day hassling his fellow men over penny ante "violations" that he knew, in his heart, were trumped-up bullshit. And especially in states like VA, which now have these odious "civil remedial" fines that can be $1,000 or more for what are at core often just minor violations of already under-posted speed limits (for example, 81 mph in a 65 zone; "reckless driving" in the People's Republic of Virginia).
