Denver, CO (November 12, 2007) ? Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA) has announced a $25,000 contribution to the National Hispana Leadership Institute?s (NHLI) 20th Anniversary 2007 Leadership Development and Mujer Awards Conference, which will be held at the Denver Convention Center from Nov. 8-9. The conference was developed to unite Latinas from across the nation to challenge, inspire, and help shape them as leaders in their communities.

?Nissan proudly supports organizations that promote and encourage growth and diversity,? said Stephanie Valdez Streaty, Sr. Manager of Philanthropy and Diversity Communications for Nissan North America, Inc. ?NHLI?s mission is to empower Latinas and advance their personal and professional growth, and this is a mission that we both share.?

Stephanie Valdez Streaty will speak as a member of an informational panel titled, ?Latinas in Corporate America,? on Friday, November 9. Valdez Streaty, along with fellow Latina top executives, will discuss, among other topics, the challenges that Latinas face as well as the influence and strengths they bring to the corporate world.
