The tank is pretty big - 54 inches long by 26 inches wide; made it out of sheets of acyrlic. It has a drain/plumbing built into the bottom panel to make it easy to drain all the water quickly, so I can clean the tank without too much hassle. Turtles are messy - and even with high-powered filters, it's necessary to change the water about once every 10 days. With a standard aquarium - no drain - this can be really difficult, esp. if we're talking about a tank that can hold 75-150 gallons of water!
