I have read about problems at the Air Force Academy - evangelicals pressuring cadets to "accept Jesus" and so on. And we have the example set by senior officers such as that Gen. Boykin character - whom The Chimp did not remove, of course.Originally Posted by Jim Rose

Pretty soon the AirForce song will be,"Onward Christian Soldiers" :-\
In a way, the military does NOT allow atheists or agnostics. All dog tags have a religion listed on them. The best an agnostic or atheist can do is get "no preference" on their dog tag.
We did have chaplains fly out to us in the jungles of Vietnam, as long as we were in a place that has not seen any combat for a while. However, none of us were forced to listen to the nonsense, but I was surprised how many wanted to.
BTW, I do have a religious preference. That is to not be bothered with such silly, childish nonsense in any way.
I find it childish that an adult can believe in such silly stories as Adam and Eve and the first sin as being literally true, yet countless people do believe such obvious nonsense. I find it amazing.
IMAO, to believe in such obvious nonsense as being true must be the most common emotional / mental disease in the world.

Actually the pics in the links showing SC US Army boys with Bibles and Hamas 'terrorist' with Koran will be described as apples and pears.... our boys being 'good' and terrorists being 'bad'.
That's true to a point, that the USA Army is usually deployed in defence of good causes, the problem being that much of current engagement is with Muslim people who think they are defending THEIR faith and land...
Anyway, we have proof that my God is the right one. I haven't been killed, yet, and my Britcars always went well...

Sorry that's too crypic for me. I have just returned from a long drive under blazing sun in dry farmland, at a searing 25C ambient.Originally Posted by misterdecibel

That's simply not true, their big idea is to spread the faith and kill unbelievers.Originally Posted by robmcg

Here it's apples and oranges.Originally Posted by robmcg
Apples and pears is Cockney rhyming slang for stairs. Trouble and strife = wife. Now, back to the bit about pushing the trouble down the apples...
No,
it's lost in translation
