Beats me, I only looked where I live and the price is $2.85 and I get 10cents a gallon off that for being a good boy!
We in GodZone pay around US$5.00/US gallon and get no-fault accident insurance and subsidised public transport...
You guys pay for a war in Iraq but it's not declared as an excise on fuel, I guess you pay in other ways?
Last I heard Euros were paying near US$10/gallon or more...
We tend to do public accounts far too transparently... but the tax on fuel being used for trains? Well, that is being done, but variouis lobby groups don't like it. Whip 'em, says I.
Beyond the "Blood Tax," which not all of us pay, of course - there's the tax we pay in the form of an indebted government (and thus, indebted us) as well as an ever-more-authoritarian state, the necessary product of a constant state of war.Originally Posted by robmcg
