    150 mph limo.. in reverse?

It's a good clip - but no way the thing was doing 150. Or even 120.

    Exactly.

Unless it's some kind of hi-perf. custom, most limos are powered by the stock drivetrain of the car they are based on. In this case, a Caddy DTS. Now, it has a powerful V-8. But the limo conversion adds probably 1,500 pounds (or more!) to the car. And the stock DTS is governed to 125, I think....

I agree, if you compare the speed of the limo to the flow of traffic, there is no way that limo was doing 150 mph or even 120 mph. I would say on the fastest streches the limo was doing maximum of 100 mph. The cop car looked like a Crown Vic, if the limo driver was doing 150 mph the cop in the Crown Vic would have easily lost a visual of the limo very quickly. And you are right the DTS limo uses the standard FWD platform and Northstar engine of the standard Cadillac DTS. Even the current multi-million dollar DTS limo used by the President has only a 345 horsepower Northstar and that is not capable of 150 mph:

I've stopped watching all those police chase shows.

I can't deal with their annoying righteousness, nor their exaggerating.

    Amen.

That "Sheriff John Bunnel" character is the worst of the lot, too...

All these shows are law enforcement propaganda pieces.
