    I see they're using Lincoln Mark VIIIs for the demo... I always liked those things (the earlier Mark VII especially) but of course, Ford "f'd" it up... and now it's gone...

    I wonder how much that adds to the car's weight? And how it affects crash safety? It's about the stupidest piece of shit I've seen in a while.

    Ford really made a big blunder cancelling the rear wheel drive Thunderbird, Cougar, and Mark VIII. They sold very well. I knew many people who cryed the blues when these cars were cancelled, then had many fans.

    My mom had an '87 Mark VII LSC.

    It had the same basic drivetrain as the Mustang GT - including the 5.0 liter HO V-8. It was a great-looking, high-performing high-class luxo-coupe that did sell in big numbers for several years.

    Ford has a bad habit of giving up on a car after one less-than-great restyle (as happened when the Mark VIII came out). Instead of hanging in there and redoing it, they just dropped it....
