    2010 Camaro Spy Shots

Here's some recent shots of the 2010 Camaro, notice how the big round "retro" 1969 Camaro type headlights of the concept car are not present but instead much smaller headlights:

Also notice how the rest of the car is pretty close to the concept. Damen per a conversation we had last year, looks like the dual exhaust borders of the concept car are gone, it has a more conservative lower rear bumper cutouts.

actually, from the looks of it in picture 5, the exhaust borders are still there... but yeah, definitely a bit more conservative - which I think is a shame
otherwise, however, I think the car looks FANTASTIC

I know this is heresy on this board, but I'm just not digging it.

The original that this was based on had a taller greenhouse. So the proportions just aren't right.

Thee is nothing on that car that says, "Camaro." It's so bland GM, it could have come out of the Cadillac design studio.

    We agree on this one.

But it may be a generational thing. For example, Damen (he's 25) really likes it.

I can't see it, myself. And I have owned three Camaros (one '78 LT, one '81 Z28 and an '86 RS). The new one looks like a big block to me, with awkward attempts to integrate some of the styling cues of the classic-era Camaro. For example, the round-type lights (which, as on the current Impala) just don't fit the car. At least, not to my eye.

I think Chrysler did a much better job with the Challenger, which almost looks like a '71....

    Damen,

You're right, I did not see the border down below until I looked closely at one of the pictures.

    Everyone,

Personally I like the Camaro's looks, the pictures don't do the car justice, however standing next to the car at the autoshow it's really is so tastefully done.

I hope I am wrong about the CAFE killing the Camaro, because I can't wait to drive one of these.
