As reported by thenewspaper.com, it appears that Utah and Texas may be increasing their speed limits on critical segments of their respective highway systems. Utah may go to 80 or 85 mph on their I-15 test segment. Texas may be going from 60 to 70 mph on their Dallas North Tollway.

All I can say is about time. And for those bellyachers who are so concerned about high gas prices and conserving gas, I would remind them that Europe has $8.00 gas and 80 mph speed limits on most of their highways. In rural areas in Europe, they drive as much as we do.
