Here’s The Deal

Yesterday, I was on Tom Woods’ podcast (audio clip is here). Afterward, off-air, he and I discussed some of the problems confronting online publishers like me.

I mentioned to him that several EPautos readers have e-mailed to let me know they are – for reasons I cannot fathom – locked out of the site/cannot register or post comments. Or can’t send donations via PayPal because PayPal will not let them.

This is incredibly frustrating.

I told Tom that I have no clue what to do about either problem because I am not a computer/coding kind of guy. I wouldn’t even know where to start. I suppose I could try to learn, but it’s like expecting a person with virtually no mechanical knowledge to master engine rebuilding/car restoration.

This takes time.catch 22

Which is (Catch 22) something I don’t have much to spare.

Writing an almost daily column, including the background research, then editing it, formatting it and publishing it takes up most of the day. Then responding to people’s questions and comments. Plus radio interviews.

Working on the books.

It doesn’t leave a lot of downtime to deal with acquiring Word Press skills, dealing with marketing/advertising and all the rest of it.

Much less doing all this stuff well.

I could use a hand.

Especially with advertising/marketing. This could pay.

I’m willing to generously divide any ad revenue generated by one of you. 50-50 of the net (after taxes) works for me.  It could work well for someone out there with the know-how (and time) to handle this side of EPautos, too.

And my share of the take could pay for the one thing EPautos really needs – a tech support person.

It could be a win-win for everyone.

  1. Eric, have you thought about doing a webinar/live stream? Where people from the site can get together for an hour and talk? Might be interesting. I know it doesn’t solve the issues you discussed here, just a random thought.
